Quiznos versus Subway

Why, is Quiznos a better franchise opportunity than Subway? This is a question many people are asking and the answer in most cases is a subjective response. To answer this question objectively one must look far beyond the common arguments for and against food preferences. An objective comparison must relate to many other factors not directly related to the public taste for the sandwiches each restaurant serves.

In a non-scientific survey poll, Mr. Poll.com, an online poll site including over 100,000 polls on thousands of subjects. Voters were asked which is better, Quiznos or Subway? 1,164 voters responded with 61% voting for Quiznos and 38% voting for Subway. In reviewing results on 25 additional sites the results were less dramatic and the main factor was food preference. The verbal comments on the websites reviewed support the belief that the popularity of fast food restaurants is based more on taste preference and less on food quality, safety, cleanliness, preparation and nutritional value.
